you know, I found some places where I can buy visitors to my site. You know...those places that sells 10K-100K or more guaranteed visitors. I own a web hosting and web design service site. Do you think buying those services is a good idea. Please let me know.

I guess the biggest question you would want to ask is if those are "targeted" visitors. If they are sending people that are no interested in webhosting, I would think you would have a very low conversion rate.

As long as the folks that they "send" to your site are looking to purchase hosting. :)

there are some sites which promote your site for free..but you have to leave a IE window opening at background.
This is rather silly cos the viewers are normally those not expected to go. They just leave it at the background.
Bringig in visitors is easy, but bringing in the appropriate visitors is not.

It may be something worth looking into, but I am a big fan of having a professional look at your site and make sure that once you have the traffic, they want to buy from you.

Hello,
First of all, you have to be careful in selecting such a source. I've once bought a test package (for testing purposes) from what seems a reliable company, but in the end, as I expected, did not really receive even 10% of the total buy.
Second of all, if you really would like to go with this option, make sure they will target the advertising to those who are interested in it.
Finally, I would recommend you to just register your service with different web hosting directories (there are so many great ones!) and maybe buy ad space on those projects. Almost each such directory will arrange you an effective campaign for your budget.
Good luck!

Just be sure not to buy space on ones that claim to be honest, but sell ad space right next to lists of top hosts...no one will believe it and your money will be wasted.
