Hi,
Millions of .de Domains have been down for several hours already today. Press says that this is due to an error of the German Registrar Denic. Has any one news about this?

here the official information from denic (not yet translated):

From what we know 3 of 6 .de Rootservers returned NXDOMAIN upon DNS querries. The issue itself is resolved allready. Problem is ISP cache's still returning wrong information.
Since 80% of our domains are .de there is quite an impact here at the support desk.

Thanks, I have seen this meanwhile. We had some trouble too ;-) But it seems to be solved soon.

So have that issue be solved already there?

Yes, it has been solved. At least this is the statement from Denic

Maybe that will give them some impetus to change the outlandish TTL requirements they have for name servers responding for .de domains.
