When I try to install Apache it keeps saying- configure: error: no acceptable C compiler found in $PATH. It does this on all the packages I try to install. Anyone know what could be wrong? Also how can I fix this?

Thanks,
Aaron

What distro are you running?

Says no GCC found.. guess thats my problem? If so how do I install it and where do I get it?

Thanks,

if you are running redhat you may check http://rpmfind.net/linux/rpm2html/search.php?query=gcc

official GCC page - gcc.gnu.org

If someone could install it for me I would greatly appriciate it! I am new to linux, and when I tried to install the rpm with rpm -U it sayed that I needed: cpp, binutils, glibc-devel, & libgcc do i just get those rpms, install it with rpm -U and then after all of those reinstall it?

thanks
