View Full Version : Free Racks

The problem:
We have 3 used racks (I think they're all standard 19") that we picked up a few months ago. We thought we would use them by now, but have not. We are moving our business to a new location in a couple of weeks and don't want to take them with us.

The solution:
Give them away...if anyone wants them. Take as many as you want, or just one, or whatever. One is open, the second has detachable panels and the 3rd is enclosed on 3 sides, with a plexiglass front.

We are in North Georgia, about 90 miles north of downtown Atlanta. We're also about 1.5 hours from Chattanooga and about 2 hours from Knoxville. So they can either be picked up, or we can make arrangements to have them shipped...I suppose with someone like Gator or something.

If anyone is interested just give me a shout. I will try to post some pictures if anyone is interested, but the problem is that my business partner is in DC for a week...and he has the damn camera.

Hehe. I used to be a cop in this small town here and my best friend worked with me. One day he bought a new gun just because he really liked the holster he had. $500 gun compared to a $40 holster.

Anyway, it just reminded me of that story.

So far two people want one. Nick, will it need to be shipped?

While we're at it...
I also have two HP AdvanceStack 224T 24 port switches. They are 10Mb switches, and I rather get rid of them than move them, also.
I paid $25 each for them, mainly because they were purdy...fully knowing I'd never use them. They look brand new. We're moving everything in our office to gigabit, so...

Anyway, $25 a piece plus shipping gets them.

Here's a picture of one. They're rack mountable:

What's a rack? A place where you hold servers?

A rack is basacally a server that is easy able to be slidded into a rack. I hope that makes sence....

A rack ... into a rack ... no, that actually does not make sense at all :)

BTW, be sure to know that you will be paying some heavy money in S/H :)

I know exactly what I will be paying for. I am just not good at explaining things. ;)

I'll take all 3 and cover shipping.

If they're still available, I'll also take 1 of the switches.

Contact me at: design@phantasyworkshosting.com and I'll take care of things promptly.

Thanks.

Thanks for the great response.
And I appreciate you people who offered to pay me extra, but they go to the guys who want to come and get them. I had no idea it was such a hassle to ship something via truck from a small town, but it is.
That being said, if no one shows up, then I'll be happy to ship them.

The switches are gone, too.
