View Full Version : PHP work needed for ecomm site
dsainternet 12-07-2002, 05:19 PM I have an eccommerce site currently set up with CGI and static HTML pages. My client would like to convert to a PHP database so the products can be displayed by size/type/etc. I would rather contract this work to someone else.
For examples of what I mean, please go to http://www.streetdreams.org and http://www.wheelpros.com. The site I run is similar to these. I don't need all the products added to the new system, just the structure and programming work, so I can add the products.
Please give me estimates: preferably by the job, but hourly wage if you can't do that. Please just respond to this message.
Thanks,
Sheddtech 12-07-2002, 06:48 PM Hi!
Are you looking for the development of a full ecommerce site? If so, have you considered existing systems built in PHP, such as osCommerce? Are you looking for a system as complex as this?
This information will help us to prepare an estimate for you.
Thank you for your time.
Sincerely,
Robert Shedd

SimCity4 12-07-2002, 10:19 PM Hello,
We can create a php script to fit your needs. Would need more details on what exactly it is you need in order to give you a quote on the project.
Please email me webmaster@710services.net with more details and i will send you a quote aswell as provide examples of my work
dsainternet 12-08-2002, 12:03 AM Please look at the examples I gave- that's the kind of job I'm looking at, WITHOUT the entry of all the actual products.
Thanks
Sheddtech 12-08-2002, 12:30 AM David,
I did take a look at the example sites that you provided. However, the two sites differ in the features that they use. Therefore, I provided you with some basic questions to clarify this. However, it might be more helpful if you could provide a list of the features that you want in the final site - both client side and admin side. This information will help us to prepare an estimate for you.
Thank you for your time. I look forward to your response.
Sincerely,
Robert Shedd

NYSiEric 12-08-2002, 03:43 AM That shouldn't be too hard; however, without knowing more details, I really can't give you any estimates. Is it possible for you to tell me what your budget is?
Thanks :)

dsainternet 12-08-2002, 02:38 PM OK, here's a basic idea of what we need:
-- Wheels can be displayed based on size, manufacturer, finish, or type of vehicle (either general: car, truck, etc; or [if not too expensive] specific: Nissian, Ford).
-- The wheels page at http://streetdreams.org/wheels.php is the best idea of what my client wants to reproduce. I need to be able to edit and add wheels once the database is set up (because of the quantity of products).
What would it cost to recreate this feature, assuming that most of the data entry work will be done by us?
Thanks
