View Full Version : BIG Pot!!!!
SoftWareRevue 12-07-2002, 04:20 PM of chili I'm cookin' . . . . . .
Anybody hungry?
I always make enough for twenty or so. It's kinda hard for me to eat all by myself.
I'll just leave the door unlocked and the the bowls next to the stove.
Enjoy!
homeiss 12-07-2002, 04:23 PM Sweet! I'll come help eat it! ;)
IGobyTerry 12-07-2002, 04:25 PM hmm... Kalamazoo is only like 9 hours away. I think. Will there be any left around Midnight?
SoftWareRevue 12-07-2002, 04:35 PM At the rate it's going, there'll be about twenty servings left around midnight. :)
homeiss 12-07-2002, 04:45 PM What are you making enough to feed everyone in your city? :stickout:
SoftWareRevue 12-07-2002, 05:06 PM It's just the only way to cook some things. That's why I don't get to eat it much. Because, when I cook chili, I'm eating it for three weeks. Of course, it just gets better with age. Unlike the lasagna.
Oooh, I love chili. This thread is just mean. (Looking up airline tickets quickly..)
homeiss 12-07-2002, 05:57 PM Yah, chili is great and so is lasagna, actually any pasta is good...
Would that be Kalamazoo - (sort of) in MI?
If so, next time I make chili, I'll let you know. I always cook a big pot of it too, but I have three others to help eat it, so you'd have to hurry. Hope you like it HOT!
SoftWareRevue 12-07-2002, 06:23 PM My mouth is still burnin'
I think I better have a lie down.
Yes. MI.
Darth 12-07-2002, 06:35 PM SWR, didn't I blow up your house?
Acroplex 12-07-2002, 06:36 PM I thought you meant the big jackPOT of $60 million I will win tomorrow in the Lotto.
progex 12-07-2002, 07:05 PM I like Wendy's Chili. Yum. :D
MarcD 12-07-2002, 07:35 PM MMmmm Chilli, I am making a huge pot of spaghetti right now but about 10 people are coming over. If there is any left want to swap ?
Wohoo I love saturday nights.
skelley1 12-07-2002, 07:57 PM Love chili, but hate Kalamazoo in the winter time.
We put our Harleys in the back of a semitruck and took it up to Kalamazoo from Columbus one winter, then parked a couple of blocks from the clubhouse and rode on in, shivering like tweakers. They had chili and lots of beer waiting for us when we showed up. It was hot and delicious.
I have a keg in my garage fridge if you ever want to escape the Michigan cold and visit the Arizona desert for a bit.
SoftWareRevue 12-07-2002, 08:33 PM May have to take you up on that skelly1. :)
These Michigan winters are getting to be a bit much. We got over a foot of snow about a week ago. I don't know. I lose track. One day's like the other. It's definitly chili weather.
MarcD, If I hadn't just went through this same thing with my lasagna last week; you would have a deal. :D
The Prohacker 12-07-2002, 08:39 PM Chili would be good.. Maybe some green chili for a change...
We got like 3 inches of snow.. So no where near ya Dennis.. But damn snow and ice sucks :D
skelley1 12-07-2002, 08:41 PM I'll be driving from Ohio to Pittsburgh and back between Christmas and New Year's. Not looking forward to driving in snow again. I'm enjoying the 70 degree weather here too much.
Still 'chilly' on my Harley in the mornings without a jacket tho.

The meat used in the chili is all of the leftover meat from the day before.
It's not bad, it's actually a good way to prevent waste.
