Im looking to sell a domain that i have, But ive never transfered a domain from myself to another person. How does it work? and does all the details etc.. get changed when the buyer gets control of the domain?

I don't want to sell it and not have the buyer not change the details etc..

Thanks!

Most registrars let you do a "push". Either from their control panel or from opening a support ticket. Once the new registrant takes over the domain, it will be updated with their own contact information.

It depends. You can better request the domain buyer to open a account on the website where you have bought the domain before.

Then you can easily transfer it with simple 123 kind of procedure.

Yes, the name and other details will completely get changed once it is transferred.

You can find the changes in whois database after 4 to 5 hours...

Click on domain name transfer in your control panel and follow instructions. That is not so hard to do ;)

You can also do it the other way round, ask the person who purchased your Domain to launch the transfer, you just have to accept it then, that's all.

The current domain is 123-reg. But thanks for the advice!

As this is in regards to a sale of the domain, I suggest asking 123-reg if they have a marketplace or escrow to protect your asset. Good luck with your sale.
