Hello All,
I just signed up for the standard reseller plan at eryxma.com. It seems like a good deal, 500mb, 10gb of transfer and lots of additional options for $10 a month.

Initial setup, however, has been difficult. They sent me an account setup email just a few minutes after I finished signing up. Very little about the email makes sense though. The steps listed to finish account setup used various HTML links to help me set up my domains. However, none of the links worked. They pointed to things like http://:2087/ and other port numbers without any IP's or domain names.

When I submitted a ticket to there support system asking about this, they responded with another link that didn't work. The link pointed to http://cp3.eryxma.com:2086/. After playing around, I realized that the port number should be 2087 and it was httpS not http.

After that was resolved, I wrote them again asking why I couldn't modify (or even list) my primary reseller account domain in WHM. They responded saying that I'd need to terminate my account and sign up again for this to work. Does that seem reasonable?

Besides all of that, in each of the tickets I submitted, the support person responded only to the first question in the ticket and ignored the rest. Even when they did answer a question, the answer was very vague.

Previously I had used (and still do for other accounts) pair.com. Their setup seems to be far easier and their support more timely and informative.

Are the problems that I'm describing unusual? Or am I just spoiled by pair.com? I would gladly use pair.com for everything if the prices were a little better.

Thanks in advance,
SlickDoody

I don't know what to say... I have not used their service, but I know that I for one HATE when you submit a ticket for help with multiple questions/issues and have it responded to by someone who apparently stops reading after the first, they respond, then close your ticket.

Then you have to re-open it and wait for them to respond AGAIN etc.

I did check out eryxma.com a while ago as a hosting option, but the replies I got (after they closed their board down for a VERY extended maintenance) were slow, and they seemed to be unclear about what was actually going on.

Alot of people on their forums (again, before they closed them) seemed very happy with the service, and I have never seen plans that cheap with that much bandwith allotted to the package, but I decided to stay with my current host (Dixiesys), and upgrade my package instead. It will cost me a little more, and wont have quite as much bandwith, but Dixie has been very good thus far, and I have been happy with the responses I get from my tickets, PM's and the Dixie forum. And that, to me, is worth paying a little more.

Thanks for your advice.

Despite the fact that they are solving problems slowly, they are getting resolved. I'll give them till the end of the month that I paid for, and make my decision then.

Lots of people here say lots of nice things about dixiesys.

With their $10 reseller plan, do you get unlimited email accounts (actual pop3's - not forwards), any kind of SSL, any shopping cart systems? Those are some of the things that drew me to eryxma.

Thanks for your help!

On the past 2 weeks, we had hired some new staff, this staff wasn't very well prepared they had to be let go. We then partnered with another dedicated support company, which Shiekron should announce any time soon, this is the reason our forums are down - we need time to reorganize.

We had quite alot of problems with "Instant" setup scripts, they were suppose to sign up WHM/CPanel accounts instantly as they are going to be the heart of the company for our future free reseller programs, but there is still work to be done to them.

We believe we got this fixed finally this Thursday, all the variables parses through correctly, and intergrates with the database, there are still a few variables that need to be fixed.

Now if you could give me or PM me your ticket #s, I will search them here, and re read them these myself, and respond to them.

Thank you for your comments, and patience.

Have a great day!
