which host is better as in price rackshack or atwebhost (where if you stay with them for 1 yr you get ur server)

It really depends on your needs.
Ezzi (http://www.ezzi.net) used to do something similar (the server was yours after six months or something).

I would say Rackshack from personal experience and from also what I have seen. Rackshack has been around a lot longer and also has a lot more "weight" behind it and buying power.

I have used both - Rackshack is basicly just the server nothing else no management no help if you can manage it there good, Don't remember any downtime with them in 8 months odd.

Atwebhost sends me e-mail every other day I was on there semi ded package and have since canceled because they are not running package anymore. They seem to be having problems with there network and might not be the best choice at the minute. Mind you they are more managed and do have pretty decent support so its a compromise.

atwebhost have great tech support, always soemone on AIM ready to help...there servers seem fats, and ordering was no worries for me...nice prices too :D

Read both the sites and pick the cheapest..

But do you really want to choose based solely on price? i think not!

For what its worth i rate rackshack very highly! excellent company to do business with.

Personally, I don't think they are in the same leagues..

I would have to agree. Rackshack is a much much larger company.

I think they have over 10,500+ servers now... just a tad bit bigger ;)

I guess atwebhost provide managed services and windows server too. But rackshack unmanaged and only linux....
