I'd add a hardware offers forum under Related Offers and Requests. That's about it though change-wise.

It would be really nice to have a request forum added but sadly it can cause spam.

Something more where people would share their tips about their business or promotional techniques. This should not provide access to put in warez links for downloading some e-books. Better upload on WHT and share with others.

Nothing such like selling or buying but it should be completely free.

As long as we're adding, we may as well see if there's anything else that should be added, removed or merged. :)

Not sure if this is the right place, but I renew the argument to make Advertising Forums a paid feature or increase minimum post / member term requirements. Other than that, I think everything is great.

Hi Dennis,

Thanks for considering the proposal for a new hardware offers forum.

I think the list you posted might be a little outdated (there's no Other WHT/iNET forum anymore, some forum names are still the older ones [e.g. Technical and Security Issues], and Cloud Hosting Offers does not exist in the list). But actually, that's irrelevant to my suggestion. :)

I think the HostingCon forum should be tucked away underneath something else. Is it possible to go under Web Hosting Lounge? I'm not exactly sure where else it would fit--however, since the conference only comes once a year, the "traffic" in that forum only spikes around that time.

Thanks,
Nich

I think i would have to agree with this one. '10' relevant posts are not that hard to gain, neither is registering and not doing anything for 7 days and waiting anyone can do that right?

Maybe '25' relevant posts and 14 days of membership or something along those lines.

Aside from the hardware forum and what not WHT is fine and dandy ;)

Upload what exactly?

You can make it like some kind of tutorial section where people will only share their hand written or free e-book owned by them. These tutorials will be related to hosting, web -designing or SEO or developing themes or WP and there are too much to share...

Just restrict it to technical and authentic material...This forum will boost more..

I think also to post in the advertising forums you should have to provide proof that you are a real legit business. IE Prove you are a Sole trader, LTD etc (i am making reference to the UK as I don't know anything about US) so as to help prevent Fly-by-night hosts posting.

+1, don't make it too clumsy like digital point. Just add new features which will make the user experience little better.

Users should provide proof of business before being permitted to post in the ads forum. It would get rid of all the non-serious fly-by-night providers.

This is exactly what I meant here:

Good to see I am not the only one thinking this.

We would like to see this, too. It's unlikely to happen since WHT is trying to earn money with HostVoice.

There used to be a Requests forum at WHT back in the day, but it was filled with spam :) It's unlikely that they would bring it back.
