View Full Version : which registrar offer the best resller price
vincent240 12-07-2002, 04:08 AM Hello fellow WBT member:
I would like to offer domain name registration on my website, and want to know which registrar offer the best reseller price for domain names:
I found that SRSPlus.com (a company of Network Solution) offers 7.95 per year.
Also, which registrar offer real-time registration and web interface (where my client do themselve) with a better price than $10 offered by OpenSRS.
If my question is not clear, please don't hesitate to point it out since I am the newest newest memberin this field.
Any suggestion, advice, offer, willl greatly appreciated.
iWebbers.com 12-07-2002, 05:08 AM The real price of SRSplus is not $7.95 per year!! Be careful.
I won't trust SRSplus or any Verisign company.
SRSplus had increased their price for more than 50% suddenly a few week before. So, I leave them.

I believe eNom offers excellent value. eNom also offers lots of additional features for free, including DNS records, email & website forwarding/framing, website builder, etc. The eNom website is www.enom.com.
If you want to get cheaper pricing, then you must sign up as a reseller directly through eNom, and make a very large initial deposit. By signing up under another eNom reseller (not directly with eNom), you can get prices as low as $8.95 per domain.

As an eNom reseller, you will be able to use the registryrocket, PDQ, or the eNom registration API. You may offer prices to your customers as low as your own pricing.
Cheers!
apollo 12-07-2002, 03:59 PM yes, Enom is a good choice from value and service point of view
khimhong 12-07-2002, 07:13 PM i am using Enom myself and i love the wonderful price.
Not only, they also provide a client's "control panel" which can accessed at http://access.enom.com
I always add a domain and give my clients the domain's access thru that clients panel.

Isn't there a way to get a free reseller acc or something else like that ?
kittiwat 12-08-2002, 03:27 AM Hey MrZippy:
In your opinion, what's the guy with 300-500
domains (with new reg ~ 100+/month) should
be paying as enom's reseller?

You can sign up under another reseller (they create a sub-account for you and then convert it into a reseller account), however eNom recently implemented a policy that restricts the pricing to $8.95 or higher.
You can still find some accounts for sale with prices lower than this, however they are usually for about $50-$150 setup fee.. depending on the price. This setup fee does not go toward domain purchases.. it is a straight payment to the current owner of the account.
If you sign up for an $8.95 account, then most resellers will set you up with this for free.

With so many domains per month, I would seriously consider finding a reseller who is offering an old $6.95 account for sale. It will cost you about $150 to buy it, but you will get this money back in reduced cost within 2 months.. assuming you continue to register 100+ every month.
Cheers!
Sticks 12-08-2002, 08:01 AM Ok. Thank you for helping.
allan 12-08-2002, 09:14 AM You also may want to take a look at onlinenic.com, they offer reseller accounts as low as $6.69, depending on your initial investment.
enom is the best solution. If you intend to register hundreds of domain names, it is worth to make a 7K deposit, otherwise, just signup under another reseller.
solyalex 12-08-2002, 01:44 PM hay zoli domainresell.biz

eNom resellers are unable to offer pricing less than $8.95. Anything lower means the website has not been updated yet. For pricing lower than $8.95 you must purchase your account directly from eNom.
solyalex 12-08-2002, 07:34 PM is this a new rule from enom
coz i already having an account with 8 $
as a sub account
khimhong 12-08-2002, 07:43 PM i went to this site where domains are charged at $6.25 but you must deposit the cost for 100 domains (i.e. $625). However, how reliable it is, i have no idea

Where is this place? You're serious about $6.25? Thanks in advance.

You can't get a lower rate...
Jeffreyw 12-09-2002, 08:31 AM I would have to agree that ENOM.com offers the best price for resellers. They have more and better features.
:: paVel :: 12-09-2002, 08:41 AM We have Enom Reseller and we are happy with their service.:)
solyalex 12-09-2002, 05:36 PM by this way enom make all there resellers that is was working in selling sub account to close there doors
coz 8.95 $ its too mutch

No, you are not correct. I have recently signed up more resellers than I have ever in the last several months.
eNom offers more SERVICES than all the other registrars, so when you are an eNom reseller, you have the ability to attract clients on more than just price.
For example, with every eNom domain you are given FREE email forwarding ability, web/URL forwarding, complete control over every aspect of the DNS, a mgmt control panel for each domain, etc.. most of the other registrars either do not offer these extra services, or they charge extra for them.
Comparing domain registrars based only on price is like comparing two different products. It is not fair.
skelley1 12-09-2002, 08:36 PM if you had a $7.15 enom reseller account, and signed up someone with an $8.95 account that sells them for $10.95, do you get any income (and how much) for every site they register?
Also, if they created a reseller account under them for $10.95 with their own $8.95, would I get any income from those sales as well?
I'm thinking about implementing this on a site of mine in the future, but have never looked into how it works.
freakysid 12-09-2002, 10:38 PM 8.95 -

You will get that on every domain name your reseller sells (whether it be them buying the domain or a sale through one of their sub-accounts).
skelley1 12-09-2002, 11:09 PM that's wonderful.
then i would have to suggest enom. they have the best extras that go along with your account, and i have to say their customer support is excellent.
I have one of these accounts (i bought it a couple of months ago) but lost the password when i had to reformat my HDD. I sent an email to their support system and they responded in about 15 minutes.
Don't much care for their sales department tho. sometimes they get back, and sometimes it takes them days.
kittiwat 12-10-2002, 03:47 AM I can only say that enom never failed me! ;)
