To the WHT community I would like to ask a simple question:

What is a fair hourly wage for tech support? Duties include:

OS Installations
Server building\installation
Hardware upgrades
Client Tech Support
....etc....

No training was provided, all skills were previously aquired prior to consideration for employment. I feel that our tech support team is severely underpaid. I would appreciate if you would take the time to answer. Thanks. :eek3:

But to answer your queston:

Do you do any server administration? Using what tools? OS tweaks? Security? What level Support are you? Level of education? Certifications? experience?

Just at first glance, not knowing any more, it looks to me like you build servers, load them and provide front line customer support. In this market that's worth about $8 - $10 an hour.

I don't either, although it's sad to see so much controversy surrounding one company. But then again, controversy sells.
