Do a search for them or fastservers.net :)

Yeah, fastservers.net I know uses them. They seem to be good.

I am mistaken :-)

But if anyone wants to post any problems they have had with HE that would be great.

we use HE (recently) and they've been good so far. Specially that their 2 minutes away from our office.

Well, the less you hear about them is probably a good thing. :D

HEIS is one of the BEST places to put a server if you want to send spam. They dont give a damn what you do to their customers as far as reporting them for SPAM.

This has pissed alot of people off, and many people give them a poor recommendation as a result of this. Thier service is top-notch from what I hear, I dont currently have anything there right now, but I may be looking into it.

From what I understand, they are very good and the service is priced right,

We just got another server through FastServers.net this week, the HE.net connectivity can't be beat for the price.

My pings are EXCELLENT considering how far away I am.

There have had one DDOS attack that i know of (lasted ~ 2 hours). I would have to say they have fewer overall than RackShack. While that isn't something they normally have much control over, it is something to consider.

Going through FastServers is probably cheaper than buying direct from HE.

He.net merged with Lightning.net about a year ago.

Lightning hosts one of EFnet's primary servers. irc.lightning.net is now irc.he.net and is located at their San Jose Facility.

IRC servers attract DoS attacks. Servers on EFnet tend to attract very large DoS attacks.

He.net is a good company but the fact that they host IRC servers and shell providers will possibly cause problems for their other clients.

He.net is a 2nd tier ISP that gets most of its connectivity through free/cheap peering at various MAEs, IXs, and NAPs. MFN (Abovenet) and Williams (WCG) provide He.net with transit to networks that won't peer directly with them.

Fastservers has not been taking orders, not until after the first is what I see on their site.

You don't here about HE.net around here much because they are GOOD. Everyone here on WHT wants Rackshack and UnitedColo because they're all cheap.

They made a *few* servers available to their current customers / forum visitors.

They were snatched up pretty quickly though. :)
