View Full Version : Who is the best webdesigner for web hosts?
hostmaster123 04-29-2010, 03:55 PM Hi everyone, I've been reading on these forums for quite some time and have learned lots, I am ready to start a web hosting company and was wondering who to go with to design my site,
I've heard that pixel is good, Payton is good but can take a while, but are there any other ones who produce websites as high quality as Payton but with quicker turnaround?
Not bashing anyone I just want to find a good designer,
I see amazingly designed websites like iweb.com, gigenet.com, vwiz.com/alt, and they are well-produced and very high quality, and I'm just like wow who designed these sites?
Thx

How quick of turnaround do you expect? A couple days?

Of course not... It usually takes me 2 weeks from start to finish if things run smoothly with the client.
You must realize it takes time to determine the best style and brand for your company. You don't want a rookie designer going in and just creating any standard design that can work with any company. As a designer, I have to think of what will work best for the client and what will maximize their brand performance, this can't be done overnight...
alreadyhosting 04-29-2010, 11:50 PM Check out 99Designs.com, it is a cool site. If you are looking for a private web designer with a proven track record, I would suggest LouderThanWordsDesign.com.

SLD , I dont think the statement was meant to be literal ;)
iserve4web 04-30-2010, 04:49 AM yes, if you want to brand your website and appear very professional the design must spend time on the concepts.
hostmaster123 04-30-2010, 10:15 AM thanks everyone, will try it out !
atchoooo 04-30-2010, 05:13 PM When we redesigned iWeb.com (about 2 years ago) it took about 6 months to complete the project and there were a lot of people involved. Content, Traductions, Concepts, Order process, Layout, etc. If you want a good looking site with quality content I doubt it can be completed in 2 weeks.
EmuHost-Pete 04-30-2010, 06:57 PM I can vouch for greenfish studios as being a good designer. I've also heard good things about akdesigner.
tim2718281 04-30-2010, 07:35 PM I guess you could assess web sites yourself.
Put yourself in the position of someone wanting web hosting, with a couple of requirements.
Then for each potential provider, from their initial page being displayed time how long it takes you to find out how whether the provider can meet those requirements, and if so how much they charge.
The faster you can do it, the more skilled the web page designers were.
hostmaster123 05-01-2010, 01:07 AM wow, 6 months for the iweb redesign? that is very long, what is the cost of creating a website like this? and who can create such a website? is this css?
M Bacon 05-01-2010, 02:23 AM I agree. You need to wait for quality but not 6 months. :stickout:
FazeWire 05-01-2010, 02:25 AM Payton is the way to go. :) He's great.

qtriangle 05-01-2010, 03:43 PM You may find other good ones also in the design forum of WHT like "Design Requests".
CKGroup 05-02-2010, 08:16 AM Will always take couple of weeks to get every drop of inch to perfection...
I would suggest Sam from Vissol

georgepp10 05-02-2010, 11:56 AM As a freelance web designer, I say that good site would be 99designs.com, I believe it to be risky to go with one designer.
It can be long process, many delays, bad communicatin, it can be a nightmere. With 99designs.com you get to see many designs and you choose from what you like, there is much talent on this website ;)
I would give a try you may like what you see
