hi there,
we currently have a lot of problems with a ded. server at interserver. Server goes down every 10 days for 12-24 hours and, of course, cause lot of problems with clients. :(
Anybody else out there with this problems?

(problmes are not related wiht VDI mantainance)

Thanks

Slow server?! no... that's a VDI probem...

hmm...but seems better now....
If merge VDI and Interserver problems (that has be solve now) comes out a critical 911 ...

Ouch. That's like 90% uptime. Not good. :(

That's because WHT and VO do not reside at VDI.

:D Problem is solve now and they said it should not happend again. Also they said that there was DoS attack on some ip's realted to my servers. so LEVEL3 blocked access on those ip addresses. but i wonder i was able to access the server using ip address and also i can telnet and ftp on server. only email system and http was not working. any guesses on this ?

I was with interserver before. I had a dedicated server with them. They did the same thing to me. What make my own case even bad is, my server was going down and they keep saying one of my client is running a bad script that is bringing my server down. I have to cancel two of my clients' accounts that were running race car sites.
But still the problem persisted. My server was going down twice everyday for almost a month. I finally bought my own server and colocated it. By then I have already lost 23 of my clients. At one point I was locked out of my server for a whole day I could not login to the server. Whenevr I call their number, I get answering machine.
I later learnt that the server has a hardware problem they were aware of. So my advise is move your clients before you loose most of them like me.

The problem is not with VDI. The problem is with Interserver.
