Im looking for a good IP updating client for linux. Im using Xubuntu as a test os. Im currently running a Win2k8 server with DNS as primary nameserver, would like for that to have a hostname like test.mydomain.com point to the Xubuntu test server, but I need an ip updating client to keep the name pointed to the ip. any info is appreciated, and also let me know how to configure it if you do give me a recommended client.

just add it as an A Record in DNS.

that is what i am going to do, but i need a little linux daemon of some sort to run in the background and make sure that the A record on my nameserver is synced with the IP.
