Am looking for software for the client area and have narrowed it down to WHMCS and Blesta.

I have looked at both systems and find them pleasent to look at and they seems easy to use.

What are your experience with the 2 systems? Pros and cons?

I have looked at licencepal and the monthly price is cheaper on Blesta than WHMCS, but install/upgrade/integration is higher, is that a sign of Blesta being less easy to find errors in if the worst happens?

And my main concern, customer data safety, how well is the security part done on the systems?

thanks in advance for your input :)

I personally Like WHMCS because it just seems overall easier to use and a great support system that is alreay integrated.

The downside to Blesta is that is does not offer, to my knowledge, a support system.

But, Blesta is a nice change of pace from everyone using WHMCS. In the end, the choice is up to you!

Blesta does have a ticket system.. but, in all fairness it is not very extensive, and there is no knowledge base yet. So, it depends what you mean by "support system".

Also you might want to take a look at hostbillapp.com - they're pretty new, so most of us probably haven't really heard a lot about them. But actually i have tried their software, looks are pretty nice, also the navigation is pretty easy too.

Have a look.

About 1 or 2 months ago, I tried the Blesta demo and I found it's so lite and simple to use. But when I signed up a reseller account with HostGator, they provided WHMCS account for free, so I decided to use WHMCS and am using it until now.
HostBillApp sounds promising and good too. Maybe it will be a great competitor for WHMCS :)

Hostbill is the best other than WHMCS. IMHO, blesta is too lite and do not have enough modules for CPs.

I would recommend WHMCS, you can be so creative with it and just do stuff.

If I would need to choose I would like to go for WHMCS. Though its paid solutions but you will get what you have paid for.

I think a big downside of Blesta is the template integration into an existing Website and Blesta doesn't have as many features as WHMCS yet.

Another to look at is ClientExec. It is comparable to WHMCS.

Hi

I tried both blesta and whmcs. I'd recommend whmcs if you want to setup the billing system easily. Blesta is hard to use , at least for me, and I am not sure why we need to create order forms after making the packages. I didn't like the way they designed it.

There is no need in whmcs to create order forms manually. WHMCS does it all for you and of course, they have a cool order forum. Blesta order form is blank by default, a lot of customization is required for which I don't have time.

I would favour WHMCS over anything else for hosting companies.

The clear winner in my opinion :D

If you need something light weight, then Blesta is a good option. Whenever I look at WHMCS I'm overwhelmed because it has so many modules/features.

Agreed. There are many modules built in and now more and more control panel providers have a WHMCS Module available with there products.

I use WHMCS on zensix.com and Blesta on zensix.org... Honestly, I'm liking Blesta more at the moment, just because it's so simple.

Why doesnt anybody recommend AWBS?
I have been using it and it works great. The best part is their support. If a module is missing i just have to open a support ticket and within 24 hours they comeup with the module. So you can do anything with it.
