I couldn't find any mention of them when I searched the board... drirene 12-07-2002, 06:50 PM I was looking around too and based on your post, I looked into them. There are a few opinions on them here, mostly very good: http://4guysfromrolla.aspin.com/func/review?tree=aspin/hosting&id=4905610&cob=4guysfromrolla ps: The one review that says it didn't find an address to post to didn't go to "contact" right on the top banner. There is a contact form. Alex042 12-07-2002, 07:42 PM http://4guysfromrolla.aspin.com/fun...=4guysfromrolla This link refers to robowebite reviews. I don't see anywhere it says anything about hosting4usa.com. Did I miss something? Jtru 12-07-2002, 08:33 PM They both have 4's in their name. :D I just noticed the same thing. Maybe it's a typo on the part of the poster. drirene 12-08-2002, 01:17 AM You're not missing anything. I made a mistake. Guess too many windows open at once, but I still like their plan and will probably sign up with Hosting4USA. Sorry for the hassle... drirene 12-09-2002, 07:17 PM Well, here's some more news: I joined up; they were real prompt in answering my presales questions. I sent two support forms one and two days ago. Silence. The only good part is that the total investment was $15. Alex042 12-09-2002, 08:21 PM I sent two support forms one and two days ago. Silence. I won't set it to point to the new IP until the whole thing is up and running and the way the panel is set up, I can't publish to it until it's pointing there. I wanted an IP to publish to... So, the web is still in it's old location. And, still no answer. forumgp 05-09-2003, 12:50 AM I’m searching for information about this host , host4usa. The price seems very good and not unlimited space or bandwidth. Some features: Disk space: 2 GB Monthly bandwith: 20GB Unlimited MS SQL Server 2000 Unlimited MySQL ASP.NET (devmail.NET included) 15US$/month http://www.hosting4usa.com/hosting.asp?inc=features Uptime from findmyhosting: http://www.findmyhosting.com/showuptime.asp?id=87375 Some downtime this year, but I if this data have some similarity with user account uptime is fine to me. Few hours of downtime per month is not very critical to me. From hosting4usa page “Connectivity OC-48 Yipes data backbone. Servers nationwide.” I do not know if “Yipes” is good or bad. Another thing from hosting4usa page: “We do not allow more than 50 customers per server” Is 50 customers good or bad number ? Maybe they assume that not all customers use all resources. blue27 05-09-2003, 06:40 AM “We do not allow more than 50 customers per server” Is 50 customers good or bad number ? That's a pretty arbitrary number. The number of clients per server depends on usage and server load. If there are 50 customers who all bought packages with 2 gigs of space and 20 gig of bandwidth then the server is overloaded. If they all have 500 mb and 2 gigs then you could put many more than 50 accounts. |
