Hello everyone, I have been out of the 'loop' for quite some time now, and I am just wondering what is a good paid or free script to use to monitor your website's visitors.
IE: origins, hits, unique hits, etc...
Thanks for the help in advance, and sorry if this is the wrong forum for this.

Google analytics (http://www.google.com/analytics/) is a popular choice IMO.

I have been using StatCounter (http://www.statcounter.com/) on a low traffic website for some months now, and I'm quite impressed with the details it provides for their free service. The only draw-back with their free version is a somewhat limited log-size, without upgrading.
What is STATCOUNTER? A free yet reliable invisible web tracker, highly configurable hit counter and real-time detailed web stats. Insert a simple piece of our code on your web page or blog and you will be able to analyse and monitor all the visitors to your website in real-time!

I'm using Piwik (http://piwik.org/) and in my opinion it's the best open-source statistic software for my needs! ;)

I think the best and free ones are AWstats and G Analytics. I don't think there is any use spending money on this issue when you have internet king providing you some product for it which is completely free.

We use google analytics for visitor tracking. The campaigns are very powerful for tracking visitors. Our live chat software (zopim) does a good job of keeping track of live visitors too.
I also just tried out something called woopra which is live visitor tracking. I didn't like it, but they have a free option that you can try out. It has a desktop app which is nice though.

We've used them for about 2 years now, they have everything from keyword research and tracking to SEO (and of visitor tracking and analytics)... and it's completely free.
