View Full Version : Co-locating remote city, return from ISP shipping experience?

I'm curious why (most of) the ISP's contracts don't make any reference to "returning the server after you cancel service."

This doesn't seem to favor the customer  -- to protect my consulting customers, I'm interested in what experience has been "in the real world".

I'm curious what experience both ISP's and customers have had with these issues:

-- turn-around time for getting the rack boxed and out once the customer requests it. Especially when unplanned.
-- Assurance of proper packing... I suspect most ISP's don't keep the original customer's shipping box :)

Any comments appreciated. Again, both ISP's and customers -- chime in!

The experience I had with webpipe.net was good, as they kept my original packing materials.
