I have a business account through paypal. I think the only thing I needed to provide was my TAX ID, if that. I think I coverted to a business account in 2005 so the rules may be different now.

I didn't have to submit anything when applying for a paypal business account, All i did was register the account put a credit card on the account, Link my Bank account & Put in my SSN (For the Paypal Debit Card 60 days later)

They didn't ask me for any type of documents.

Once we started turning over a fair bit of revenue through Paypal, we had to provide the following documents.

Supplier invoices.
Photo ID.
Proof of address.

This was on top of the standard verification process.

I upgraded our PayPal from Personal to Business and was not asked to verify any incorporation information. PayPal only usually asks for that when they notice you start to get some suspicious transactions.

Limitation is standard if you trip their fraud flags. They ask for quite a few things as well. All of the options have alternatives but once you submit and fill out the entire form then paypal will review it and if your lucky you'll get your account back

You do not have to do anything when opening a business account except for providing business information.

Why not ask Paypal? Why ask this here? They have a very well documented FAQ that could have saved a lot of time. RTFM ;)

I would assume because paypal takes 2~5 days to respond to any e-mails, I second the suggestion to use their FAQ's though. Alternatively you could give them a call, Maybe they won't keep you on hold for 3 hours like they did me ;)

Really? I've never had a problem getting a same day response.

Yeah well i don't have that problem anymore, We have a paypal rep now, But starting out was a pain because paypal would take ages to answer our questions was quite annoying, And phone calls was just another hassle with them.

I once registered with them under that type of account, They didn't ask me for anything other than to just submit my credit card and bank information to them.
