Has anyone placed an order with them within the last couple of weeks? I placed an order with them mid last week, and have had NO contact with them. I have sent a few emails, but to response. The 72 hour window for installation has now passed.

Anyone have eny thoughts/comments?

That's odd, on Payton's website it says he's currently accepting work. Have you tried contacting him on AIM (PaytonDesigns)?

Unfortunatly, I do not have an AIM account, but I have contacted him twice via email, and once via the contact form on his site.

The same has happened to me, I opted for the 24hour turnaround on our whmcs integration, nothing has happened its nearly been 72 hours since i paid, I have even opened a ticket with them but no reply as of yet :)

Maybe they have a heavy work load or sumthing.

I do have an AIM account, So i will try with this when i get home and report back to this thread :)

We are struggling to achieve open communications with them as well.

I would rather get this sorted offline if possible, but as each day goes by I'm getting less optimitic as we have been waiting for our site to be complete since the New Year.

Just as an FYI here - our integration has been completed. Once the integration was completed, we were not informed by Payton, I just happened to check it out on the site. At this point in time, I still have at least two emails into him (and one contact form) yet no response.

No response either on what compensation.

Cheers.

Update on this - I have been provided a full refund even after the work was completed. Even with the family problems, Payton stayed true to his reputation here on WHT as a classy guy.

Cheers.

Our whmcs integration has now been complete by payton, Its all working fine and dandy now, But am quite surprized to see one got a full refund and i got a partial refund of $10

Am not sure if our whmcs went out of the 72hour window or not, But anyhow, I shall take this as experience, Regards

P.S @Timelord I just checked out your whmcs integration and your icons arent showing up ?

I may have spoken too soon. The refund never did arrive (there may have been confusion as to what Paypal address I used to pay). At this point, I have received zero funds as a refund.

Forget it, that's the one thing Payton can't deliver and he constantly fails to even admit it.

I processed the refund yesterday. Since I had just transferred out all of my funds at Paypal the refund is being pulled from my bank account. You should see it pop up within the next few days.

Sorry for the inconvenience!

Not sure what you are talking about, I've admit a few times my communication can be bad at some times but in the end the job will get done.

Well communication is not the best, but let's face it for the work he does, it's well worth the wait :)

I would just like to say he was really good at the start answered all my email, anyway. Took about 1 Month to get it all done. In the end it looks very well. He is a very nice person.

However, i have been trying to get him to fix a WHMCS Template error for a while now...

Other then that i would give him an 8 out of 10

I,ll be going through my emails later to see if i got mine completed within the standard 72 hour period or not, I got my $10 refunded as i opted for the 24hour service, Even if it was outside of the 72hour period, am not going to get into a heated debate over "acouple" of pounds, But the point is fairness and the way you operate your business, all customers should be treated the same in my eyes :) Regards

Everyone was compensated the same amount. No where did I say anyone was being sent a full refund. I processed a partial refund for the delay and finished everyones orders.

I can personally say everyone was refunded the same amount. Everyone of my clients is important and everyone received the same treatment.

If anyone has any questions or comments, don't hesitate to PM me.

Take care.

I’m sorry to say that we have neither had the work completed or received a refund of any kind.

Infact I’ve had no communications since a PM was sent promising it would be done over 2 weeks ago. This was before we posted on this thread, and nothing has changed. Our site has been awaiting completion since December 2009. All changes that are overdue are things that were very clear in the initial brief and agreed with enthusiasm.

Like others in this thread, I’ve no problem with the design. The thing to remember though is an incomplete website is of no real use, to us anyway. As each day goes by, we are missing significant opportunities.

At this stage, I would appreciate an email to let us know when it will be completed, or agree a refund so that we can have the design completed elsewhere.

This comes with regret as I was hoping to build a good constructive relationship, but all we have to date is an incomplete website, and lost hours trying to contact you, with the occasionally response with empty promises.

Considering the above, if we hear and see no changes by 30th April then I can’t see what else we can do but have the work completed by another designer so we can have a finished site, and seek remedy from yourself using other channels.

I think it will be best to post up a log of our communications so others can make there own balanced judgement, but I’m sure they will see that we could not have been fairer.

Even at this stage, and as I’ve made clear in every communication, I’m open for constructive communication but as you can imagine I’m keen to just have a completed site or a refund so we can move on.

I've written you back a few times wanting to know exactly what you needed done... After I sent the icons I assumed we were all good to go. I mean, you are using the web design on your site www.imitza.co.uk, so I would have assumed everything was good to go. Please shoot me a PM or an E-mail with the list of changes you need done.

The thing to remember though is an incomplete website is of no real use, to us anyway. As each day goes by, we are missing significant opportunities.

I'm just wondering why you are actually using it to conduct business if its no use to you? I'm willing to add whatever you need but you will need to contact me off the boards.

mine was over 72 hours, no explanation why, no offer of compensation, they didn't even tell me when it was complete, i checked everyday, took them about 5 days total...

My thanks for your prompt reply. I doubt most of the messages in this thread would be here if your communications were like this all the time.

We have already contacted you and tried to progress this via PM and email, however I'll attempt to contact you again to bring this to a close. This is all we are after.

I think it best to further clarify the situation around using your design before doing this, as the situation is not as you suggest in your previous post.

As you know the inital design that was done needed some ammendments for it to be as the brief we agreed. No problem, we posted these in your ticket system and you awknowledged these numerious times. This is why I find your reply above suprising, especially as I encouraged you to contact us if any questions or queries existed.

I explained in our ticket that this is only a temporary site with much of it removed awaiting correction. To clarify it was these aspects that we are waiting on (including newsletter subscription) that would make the site 'of real use' to us. The reason why we are running with this site now is because (perhaps nievely) I thought this would only take a few days, possibly a few weeks worst case, for it to be completed and running.

I'll give contacting you offline a go, however I'm sure you can understand that after waiting months, I'm keen to just either have it finished or just let us know that you don't have time / undercharged / don't like us. I would really rather just know and we can move on, and I've said this many times.

For what it's worth, It's new to me to have to do business in this way, and it's the first time I've had to resort to joining in on negative public threads, but given communication had all but dried up, I don't see what else we could do.
