View Full Version : Live chat software
phpcoder 04-15-2010, 04:08 PM Hello All!
Any recommendations for quality live chat software that has an integrated desktop application that will run on both Windows and MAC computers?
I've not done any research yet, but this is a great starting point :agree:
jtodd 04-15-2010, 06:07 PM Kayako offers this (there is a BETA Mac application which works well).
crimsongreen 04-15-2010, 06:30 PM +1 Kayako, Livezilla is a good freeware but does not support MAC.
Anthony-HD 04-15-2010, 06:42 PM Does it need to be a desktop app? Zopim is brilliant, but the main control panel is via a web browser, although you can set it up so you can make conversations via your preferred IM client, so would work via a desktop app :)
developeroncall 04-16-2010, 12:30 AM well if MAC is your requirement then go for Kayako
madlymasterful2018 04-16-2010, 01:31 AM I can tell you about Windows as i dont know if that works on Mac O.S
It is the one, Kayako. I think its best and used by many people who are doing online businesses
mooodi 04-16-2010, 06:11 AM ProvideSupport is the best
inspiron 04-16-2010, 09:30 AM If you are ready to pay some penny then I think kayako will suits to your requirements.
pinkhosting 04-16-2010, 07:46 PM go for livezilla or providesupport
TheRACK 04-17-2010, 06:01 AM Livezilla is good! Never used PS but i see alot of post here on WHT about it. let us know what you decide!
frill 04-17-2010, 08:35 AM Livezilla is just perfect for me. I'll try out PS in a test environment but i dont see me changing LZ anytime soon
energizedit 04-17-2010, 10:40 AM Craftysyntax is free and works quite well. It is php and web based so it runs on any platform.
Schmarvin 04-17-2010, 10:42 AM If you can't afford Kayako, I'd recommend Livezilla. Both are excellent live support systems.
I personally don't offer live support anymore. Its time consuming and is usually abused. :\ But, if your interested in offering it in an easy-to-use system, go for Kayako if you can. Otherwise, choose Livezilla. :)
bhavicp 04-18-2010, 11:20 PM Zoplim is just awesome, and they're working on a desktop APP atm. Although you can get chats routed to your MSN/AIM etc which could work just as well.
mellow-h 04-19-2010, 12:26 AM Providesupport or Livezilla. They are both nice, there are some other different types alternatives, if you are using WHMCS, you may want to try whmcsaddon.com, they have some live chat software integrated with whmcs. Some live chat softwares are pretty simple but very effective like zopim.
Good luck in choosing the right one for your business.

It is Zopim.
Well, I'll vote for Kayako ( Paid ) and LiveZilla ( Free)
jamjam 04-19-2010, 01:16 AM Can I ask something Ive been using zopim for a while but havent tried LiveZilla Yet. Is there any feature in LiveZilla that is worth trying?
alons 04-19-2010, 11:16 AM If you have money to spend choose Kayako.
If not Crafty Syntax Live Help is very good
keserhosting 04-20-2010, 05:54 AM Freeware Livechat : Livezilla
