Hi my friends.
I almost have decide to host my site with stablehost.com.
I want to know if it's better to register my domain name from a different site.. like domain.com where i saw it's good.
What's your opinion? It's very important where the domain name will be registered?
Then offer me the best domain registration site.

I guess they're all equally good. I mean, a domain name is a domain name. Further you might want to select on options offered (paid or free), but that's personal.

Aha. It isn't like choosing web hoster?
Any good suggestion? About domain registration

No, you don't depend on servers the registrar runs for the availability of your domain. Look at it as a phone number. It's just a number, nothing else. Your cell provider is who has to perform.
You may contact me if you want some more information.

I think you should register the domain from the same registrar from where you are buying your domain. Still once you buy a domain from other registrar you can use your hosting details on that...
There is no such issue...

I think it's better the godaddy's offers for domain.
what do you think about my option to host my site to stablehost and take domain from godaddy?
And something else why they want my address and my locations information?

In my opinion, godaddy is good. I have registered several of mine there.. No problem and interface is good. And you can very easily point your domain to your web hosting server.

To me I like to register away from the host. You may be able to get whois privacy for free with some registrars.
It's up to you though.

That's true, but would you trust a web hosting company that won't display their contact information in the "whois" record?
I personally like to know who I'm doing business with.
BTW, JD426, WELCOME TO WHT!!! ;)
