I would like any suggestions on domain management, the best places to register domains for clients that buy webhosting. I have looked into bulkregister.com, they seem alright, except clients do not have much access to there domain, and on top of that, $12 a domain is not exsactly the best deal around.

I also looked at OpenSRS, but they are way to costly to startup, I bet they would be decent, but they are to costly for me to get into.

Any suggestions? places? Opensrs are 10$ a domain I believe, and I am not sure how many domains I will end up registering, but I would not estimate more than 10-20 domains a month max for now.

If you can get the funds, OpenSRS is the best way to go. People like the fact that they can modify their own records.

ALthough we are with bulkregister, I can understand how you feel. We need to modify the record when people want to make changes. There is a company started by the good people at Jumpline called openegg.com that allows you to make changes to bulkregister accounts in a similar fashion as openSRS. There is a fee for it, though, and at the time I looked at it there wasn't much interest. I think I may have to revisit it.

It almost looks like there is not enough competition out there for this kind of business ;p

Maybe once some other companies start domain registration for ISP's prices will go down.

Dotster.com has an affiliate program that works pretty good and is definitely no hassle and no startup costs.

OpenSRS is $250 pre-paid deposit as a startup. We are with OpenSRS

Registerfly.com $9.95 per domain, just provide registration, we cannot be their reseller.
