RackMy.com 12-06-2002, 07:48 AM with ten (10) 15Amp AC circuits, You get 150 Amps per 1/4 cabinet? That is a great deal. alexmuse 12-06-2002, 11:54 PM I would say it was a "good" deal, not a "great" deal. The typical 1RU server can barely draw .5 amps at 110v so assume you have forty of them, the max draw would be 20 amps at 110v. It is impossible to draw more than 20 amps assuming you have a 7' tall cabinet and filled it with any combination of servers manufactured today that utilize 110v recepticles. Offering 10 - 15 amp circuits is like offering a fire hydrant to a school boy who needs a sip before 4th period. RackMy.com 12-07-2002, 04:30 PM Actually, our 1 U Dell servers pull about 1.45 amps per server and if we fill a cab with 40 servers that would be 58 running amps. alexmuse 12-16-2002, 11:26 PM You should move in! Send the Dell's down to Dallas and we will give you the first 6 months free! |
