View Full Version : @Web Host for Colocation?

I'm currently looking to move my server, and get a second (for a total of 3U of space). At this time, I have pretty much settled on @Web Host because they are working with me on my needs, and have been wonderful to deal with so far in my search for a new colocation.

Is anyone colocating with them? Have any comments about service? Remote Hands? They seem to be pretty knowledgeable, and I haven't seen any bad things about their dedicated services. Their network seems to be good.

I'm moving colocation providors due to overgrowing the bandwidth, and I need a less expensive solution. One thing that has really scared me is that I don't know if I want 2 servers (a $3500 investment), half way across the country. I really like them 600 feet from my office, and 3 miles away from home, just incase something happens.

Any feedback that anyone could provide me for helping in my decision would be great.

I know you're asking about co-lo but I have a ded server there and their network has stabled out tremendously compared to the past and they're shaping up to a good company.

Best of luck with them, or whoever.

With the little experience I have in colo, I would recommend being as close as possible to your boxes in case you need to get them back or if you want to do work yourself.

I have no experience with the host you talk about, but if you look around, there is almost always a good local host in your area and when you look at the total cost of ownership of your box being at a colo, you may be better off doing some work yourself if a data center will let you in.

Plus, nobody knows your box better than you.
