I would like to know if you are aware of a good(updated) affiliate script which I could use on my site please.

I have been checking things out on the net but there are so much affiliate junk scripts that are outdated,if you know anything please tell me,

There are good affiliate scripts that are not free. It's hard to imagine why someone would write a money-maker for others with no expectation of reward. Or am I just being cynical?

Well actually pretty much all the open source projects are money makers, I don't know a single website without google ads, check joomla, forums and any other script you can find, I just got a reciprocal link script, why did I get it? to get higher in google and? yep, get more sales, so if you check out anything on the net, directly or indirectly people are making money, don't forget many people are now putting their software for free on the net but instead are adding a few ads in it.

First time I heard about open source software, I said the same thing than you, "why on earth so many people are making so many script for free?" Then I understood you had 2 types of categories, the first one monetizing indirectly their product by clicking a few ads or bringing a secondary premium product in the aim and secondly the real devoted guys that loves coding and be proud of what they do, I like that but a lot of times these projects don't get updated on time and run down.
That's why if you read my post above I explained that I found many free scripts but run down, not updated. To answer to your question, yes many create money making scripts for fun :-) and others expect donations

There are some free ones for an amazon affiliate which can be found very easily via google, They make there money by using there affiliate link in 5% of your user clicks.
