While trying to publish several different sites (at different times) using fp2002, I receive the following error:

Unable to open xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx.xxx
Server error: Server error: FrontPage requires that AllowOverride option be set to something other than “None” (typically set in access.conf). “All” is the preferred AllowOverride option for the document root.

Possible causes:
1. The web server may not have the FrontPage Server Extensions installed.
2. The web server may be temporarily out of service.
3. If you are connecting through a proxy server, the proxy settings may be incorrect.
4. An error may have occurred in the web server.

If this server does not support the FrontPage Server Extensions, FronPage may still be able to publish to the server via FTP.

------- End of the error message ------

The company that I was reselling for was able to correct the error, until they merged, and now they just informed me to use something other than frontpage.

My question: Has anybody else encountered this problem, and if so, what was their a solution.

Due to the attitude, now taken by my provider -
Shopping Again !!
Solutions/suggestions greatly appreciated.....

Sounds like a simple issue with the httpd.conf file. Was this a cobalt RaQ by any chance? The problem is easy enough to fix, just sounds like your provider is to lazy to fix it, IMHO.
