I apologize if the title sounds a little confusing.

We are a web development company and have many hosting customers, managing their hosting plans manually. I think it's about time to put those customer on a real hosting website and try to sell more hosting to others. For that reason I need a software which I can install on a website and manage the hosting plans, billing, creating new hosting accounts, reminders for payments, etc.

Your help is greatly appreciated

I use whmcs and find it does everything I need, and is regularly updated.

Used modernbill about 4 years ago, would not use it now.

There is also HostBill ( http://hostbillapp.com/ ) and blesta ( http://www.blesta.com/ ) . Currently blesta has an offer that owned license's price has reduced to $99. Monthly licenses are also available @ licensepal for $8.95/mo. For Hostbill, it is pretty good, however their prices seems to be quite high ( same as WHMCS @ licensepal )

I have heard about good reputation of WHMCS. I think that several reseller hosts are offering this free of cost as part of their reseller hosting package.

I just now had some free time to research WHMCS and I was under the impression that the system offers a complete solution. Another words front end for users to select services like every other hosting website (http://www.hostso.com for example) and back end to manage the users, servers, etc. Am I missing something? Thanks

My best vote would be WHMCS.

I am not to keen upon clientexec, its not really userfriendly and isn't as developed as WHMCS.

Whmcs can only go on one domain unless you buy multiple licenses, then it is all automatic with a front end and backend.

Very user friendly and easy to configure.

Do you know if WHMCS has a front end user friendly part for offering different hosting solutions like it's on http://www.hostso.com for example

In that case, checkout AWBS. AWBS has the front end you require and would be a total and complete solution for your website.

Clientexc is great but ya WHMCS is much more customizable & easier to intergrate into your exsisting website.

Its a billing package that integrates with most control panels. It does not do the the actual control of end users.

One thing to consider is that hosting control panels come and go and what your using today you might not be using tomorrow. Billing is the life blood of any company and whats nice about WHMCS it will be there to make sure you get paid no matter what changes you make on the hosting side as it integrates with most major control panels.
