This is for you knowledge about domain appraisals scams to prevent you of being fool and loosing your money.

If you are selling premium domains or websites and anyone ask that he is interested in buying your domain. He will offer you big bucks above your expectations. In that email he and also mention about domain appraisal for your domain from his recommended company. Beware of it. He is owning that domain appraisal company just to take your money and will not buy your domain.

Anyway, I am lucky that i had experienced this scam earlier and before paying for appraisal i have done some googling on buyer and appraisal and found that this is scam.

Today also i got offer for one of my domain . I am pasting below communication to prevent you from this. I am replacing my domain name with xxxx to prevent being public.

Do you sell domain with a web site or just the name?

Domain without content is ok with me. Web site is not necessary.

Have you had your domain names evaluated in the past? I mean domain appraisals. Without valuation we cannot be sure in the sale price. It's very important for me in terms of reselling too. But we must engage a valuation company with REAL manual service. So I will only accept valuations from independent sources I and my partners trust.

To avoid mistakes I asked domain experts about reputable appraisal companies.

If, for example, the valuation comes higher you can adjust your asking price accordingly. It will be fair. I also hope you can give me 12% - 15% discount.
