I have been looking around and can't find a merchant account that supports prestashop. I am leaning towards using prestashop.

I have been looking mainly at cdgcommerce and merchantplus. However, they both don't support prestashop. Who does?

It's more the fact that PrestaShop does not support CDG/MP's gateways or APIs.

PrestaShop supports (out of the box): Google Checkout, Hipay, Moneybookers and PayPal.

Have you looked into Magento commerce ??

We have used CDGCommerce, and they have been great! You can always customize the script and add the payment gateway API yourself.

Yup Magento FTW!

Stick with prestashop, it's way less resource intensive than magento and it's getting faster with every release. Hosting shouldn't be a challenge. What is it that you are looking for from the service.

Presta do their own prestabox which is a limited environment where you pay nothing but give a slice of the shop revenue. Outside of that you should be able to host it anywhere.

Always liked prestashop myself, anything can be made to work with it. I'm just yet to find a decent merchant account +payment gateway in the uk!
