I am working on a personal site that will allow people to post projects online (descriptions and pictures). In particular this site will be dedicated to Ford Mustang "project cars", and I want visitors to be able to register and post their "project car" (maybe current or complete) for others to see to get ideas for their own "project mustang".
Any suggestions for a good script or maybe content management system to do this? I guess it could be a simple as posting pictures with captions as steps in their progress, but it would be great if they could update the project periodically (with dates, etc) and maybe even allow comments or questions from visitors or other users with their own projects.

Just a forum could work. Beyond that, I think a custom built app would be great for a project like this.

You could create a free forum on Delphi Forums.

Each person can then create a thread for their project, adding comments and pictures, and getting comments from others.

That way, you don't need to do any computer stuff; Delphi looks after it all.

If you see this being structured in a threaded manner, forum software would be fine. Alternatively, you could set up blog software (wordpress, etc.) and then each member would have their own area where they can post updates about their cars, receive comments, etc.

Do you know PHP/MySQL? It's pretty simple to write a script that does all that.
