Lately, there has been some major email problems at a couple of major well known reseller hosts that use the Cpanel/WHM with Exim combination. In many cases email have not arrived at users mailboxes. When doing my own tests, most arrived, some got delayed for a couple of hours, and some NEVER arrived. In fact many bounce back with Exim undeliverable messages after 24 hours. Thse hosts do not know how to solve the problem and are still looking for answers. Unfortunately, some of us resellers simply do not have the time to waste waiting or have any excuses left for our poor customers who don't have a reliable email service anymore. Does anyone have any experience of email problems with Cpanel/Exim? I really am looking at a reliable reseller without any email problems whatsoever, but maybe this problem is to do with Cpanel/Exim rather than the host themselves.

Release 66 had some problems but were quickly cleared up by release 69 as far as I know there are not any more known bugs with cpanel whm exim.

I have no idea what voxterme uses I do not have an account with em. Look at your WHM what release does it say at the top left corner?

WHM 5.2.0
Cpanel 5.3.0-S3
RedHat 7.3

No mention of release 66 or 69 as far as I can see.

Well they are a little behind but as far as I know stable release 3 did not have email problems, still you might ask them to upgrade to stable release 69 or what ever todays stable release is and see if that fixes your email problems.

Well I hope they are working on it, I have some faith in them as their support is generally very good.

we hit some email problems about a week ago, never isolated the problem, emails got on the server, came into the inboxes, but never delivered properly into the pop3 inboxes. A few "upcp" (update cpanel)'s and a few hours it seemed to work allright later that day.

Hi porcupine, so you actually had the same sort of problem and eradicated it, by simply upgrading the Cpanel to the latest version? Is the problem completly and utterly gone at your end?

Only had one user, on one domain report it from one server.... i have no clue where it came from, or where it went to, we spent around 2 hours troubleshooting it, neither of us were pleased on the situation, after running the upgrade script several times it disappeared and went back to normal.

All i know is, webmail would get the mail fine, it was in the physical inbox, but the pop3 server wasn't delivering it to the end user by outlook, etc. Webmail worked fine though.

Hmmmm.... well my server does well, with roughly 35% of email returned :D  :D . I run Ukee.com and FriendQ.com, both rely completely on email for giving users their results. Too many people (average ages of 13-20) misspell yahoo.com and hotmail.com, or have inactive/full accounts. Also, viruses (especially Klez) add to this, but in terms of normal email, 100% is delivered to mailboxes if it is correct.

Well all I can see is there are serious problems at Voxtreme, and they are looking into it (still...).
