Just wanted to say that the Host Bill App is pretty good competition for WHMCS.

http://hostbillapp.com

I have nothing to do with it but I have it on my website and its quite good IMO.

Without an owned license option. I think it is turning away a lot of potential sales.

This is possible. We are going to add owned options to our pricing. Today :)

Awesome, I should take another look at your app.

Also, how easy/hard is it to develope a module for it? I don't see any documentations on the website in regards to that.

- new version has been released: info (http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showthread.php?p=6746710#post6746710)
- we're aware of some lacks in documentation, we will work more on it, as for now its possible to do the following:
- use HostBill API (http://wiki.hostbillapp.com/index.php/API)
- create "Event Listeners (http://wiki.hostbillapp.com/index.php/Events)"
- create addon modules (addons) (http://wiki.hostbillapp.com/index.php/Custom_Modules)

Later this week we will release development KIT, to enable developers creating their own domain, hosting and payment modules for HostBill

Well it's great to know there is new competitor for WHMCS :)

90 day trial with free up to 5 clients, is just enough for us to test the software/system and see if all features and everything is okay.
I think market and their customers can choose and decide which one (WHMCS or HostBill) that suits the best for their needs.
