Everyone to their battle stations! :uzi: :bomb: Annette 12-03-2002, 10:37 PM Well, our traffic tried to route across AT&T, but I guess the death star just couldn't handle it. :D bullsquirrel 12-03-2002, 10:40 PM It's not those dang clones attacking again, is it?! Annette 12-03-2002, 10:43 PM One could only hope. When AT&T bought our local cable company, I cancelled my cable and went satellite. That should tell you how high regard I keep for them, at least in the consumer services area. Aussie Bob 12-03-2002, 10:52 PM Originally posted by freakysid I phoned the data center and they said they were under attack. I have just armed the photon torpedos. :D bullsquirrel 12-04-2002, 04:31 PM heh, that sounds about like MCI; they kept raising my long distance plan's rates, increasing the monthly fees and the in-state long distance to $.14/minute! Switched to a company called "Direct Talk USA" (found them on abtolls.com), and am getting $5/minute, in-state, out of state, day or night, for both of my phone lines! Hope they turn out to be good, because I intend on recommending them to everyone I know who uses MCI/Sprint or ATT! jolly 12-04-2002, 04:48 PM DOS is always problem either its MS DOS or DOS. Which Version of DOS attack is it DOS V2.01 :D :D How DC protect themselevs against these kind of attacks..... StarGate 12-04-2002, 04:53 PM Why do people always come in here with "Blah, blah is down"? Unless it's been days and they are ignoring you there is no reason to post... ESPECIALLY when a well known provider like pwebtech is involved. Such posts hurt business! People searching the forums for service(s) might decide agains pwebtech now cause they only read the titles of the threads. And if you really, really, really have to tell us (as if we cared that is) then please make your title "Hey, pwebtech is down atm for 5 minutes and I did not bother to reach them" = tell the truth  hostoo 12-04-2002, 06:18 PM Being on AT&T here, I can vouch for that. It's either working great or working terrible, no in between. One thing I've seen for over 1-yr now is that any host on NAC.NET can expect problems with the router going from AT&T to NAC.NET, it's been plagued with problems for way too long now. The jump right here: Number 15 is the weak link, just now another large ping, happens every 5-10 pings. I have a good 27 to 90 ping up until that point and then blammo another 1400 ping, very inconsistant. The average is not that bad but it could be way better if it wasn't for the high spikes in there. 14 3 2 12.123.214.181 - gar1-p3100.nwrnj.ip.att.net 15 3 - 12.119.140.30 - 16 4 3 209.123.11.69 - at-0-1-0-1189.gbr1.oct.nac.net 17 5 3 64.21.102.2 - gi-1-1-95.msfc1.oct.nac.net 18 6 4 207.99.8.198 - fa0-0.core1.pwebtech.com 19 7 5 216.118.112.211 - dedicatednow.com Node High Low Avg Total Lost 13 137 85 120 116 0 14 141 87 107 116 0 15 1483 84 727 116 0 16 1478 87 742 117 1 17 1443 90 767 116 0 18 1412 87 799 118 2 19 1444 91 833 116 0 Originally posted by the-admiral You shouldn't experience any problems connecting to us via AT&T, we have a 100 Mb port to direct to them in our Newark data center. qps 12-05-2002, 04:47 PM Originally posted by hurtdidit Switched to a company called "Direct Talk USA" (found them on abtolls.com), and am getting $5/minute, in-state, out of state, day or night, for both of my phone lines!
