espire is i think valueweb parent company, which has filed for chap 11. Valuweb is the only profitable part of that company.

I didn't hear about this, so I can't say if its real or not.

If the parent company closes shop, it still doesn't mean the company is closing its doors. It depends on if they are cash flow positive or negative.

They may either sell, or spin off the subsidiary.

I don't know if the story's true or not, but Chapter 11 means they're reorganizing, it doesn't mean they're closing their doors. I think ValueWeb is going to be around for a while.

Reorganizing to get debtors off their backs, I think it puts them close to bankruptcy, sorta like having too many credit cards but not enough cash- you consolidate.
