Thank you. keserhosting 03-26-2010, 07:08 AM Just get includes with "Travel" words with prefix or suffix or in between the your choice words. Example - indiatravels.com Hostwaresupport 03-26-2010, 07:45 AM Use following tool, it is pretty useful. http://www.intellitech-domains.com/domain.php?action=domain_suggest Online 03-26-2010, 07:51 AM My recommendation, try to use short ones. iHubNet-Matt 03-26-2010, 08:10 AM My recommendation, try to use short ones. That is a good suggestion. Go for a creative and catchy name. IMO it is not necessary to contain a travel prefix or suffix; but it should be some thing related to travel. net 03-26-2010, 08:28 AM You can also use .info since it is all about information and guide. Tech Evangelist 03-26-2010, 08:37 AM From my experience, .info domains rarely rank well. It is best if you can find a good .com, but a good .net or .org can also do well. Good domains are getting extremely scarce. As others have said, make sure it is brief and memorable. You will find a range of nice domain finding tools at domaintools.com. netsurfer 03-28-2010, 05:04 PM whatever name you decide on do not mention it here until you have registered it or you may find it bought out from under you, they are some unscrupulous people out their who will do anything to make a quick buck. Like the other guys say i would definitely go with travel in the name for SEO reasons if all the good names are taken why not try one of the free domain names like .tk, .co.cc etc maniondagger 03-29-2010, 05:20 AM Include your business name in your domain name. I thing that is good idea Lilysung 03-30-2010, 09:42 PM Include your business name in your domain name. I thing that is good idea Think the same!! HostYourIdea 03-30-2010, 10:37 PM Then of course travel is very a competitive keyword. Your business name does not matter if you are an international travel site and a startup. The most important thing is to find the domain using least competitive keywords that your direct competitors have missed. I think you should definitely think about SEO when choosing a domain name. --Michael Atarim 04-01-2010, 10:10 AM It's also possible to use a name that is distinctive even if it is not a keyword for your industry. Something like "Amazon" for books. :) chrisphoto 04-01-2010, 06:00 PM try to have as less characters as you can.... djlee 04-01-2010, 07:18 PM The world of domain names is a bit scary these days. Takes me sometimes weeks to decide on a name that is actually available. Problem is if a domain expires it will usually be bought up quite quickly by parking sites because they can charge silly money for the name after that and they get revenue from the actual parking of that domain as any previous vistors to that site and any new visitors that have been referred by forum posts, search results e.c.t will also bump up their revenue. Small, catchy, rhyming generally anyting rememberable. but that depends what travel you do. If your a business providing a travel service then repeat custom may not have to be the main focus of your domain name (unlike a social networking that requires a rememorable easy name or else people aint gonna keep logging in e.c.t especially while there out and about). Its really just a case of hit and miss, pick something relevant and be happy that you got a domain name pertaining to your business. that in itself is a great feat. Business name + travel + optional keywords is probably one of the better things to go for such as djleetravelbrokers.com (chances are name + travel will already be taken unless you have a unique name but ofcourse if thats taken then your playing cards, will your customers mis type and forget the brokers and end up on another site, or will you get a better seo rating and appear above the original site that come before uou when people are searching for that other site?) Then ofcourse longnames can be good too, theres a site called downforeveryoneorjustme.com ... its a sentence and therefore rememberable as it isnt random keywords collated together. But all in all im probably just rambling. Just like many things in this world there is no guideline or path to follow, pick something and if your happy with it then dont worry, you wont be the only person having to settle for the 100th option they brainstormed. Thank you. hi, nephthys, have you found an appropriate name for your dot travel domain name? And what tourist field are you targeting at? The whole world or? By the way, where are you from? SiberForum 04-02-2010, 03:39 AM I suppose that will be good idea to use your business name inside domain name. Todayisp 04-02-2010, 03:53 AM Frankly speaking, dot travel domain name is not so cheap in contrast to other domain names. But it deserves absolutely, let's just think about the considerable income from tourist industry. vWiz 04-02-2010, 04:54 AM Travel is a pretty hot topic. Im sorry to say, but I would assume the "good" ones are all taken. Although, niche target areas (like a country or region for example) might be free. Depending on what you're looking for. 5wayshost 04-26-2010, 06:12 PM Think the same!! This is the way. macanohosting 04-26-2010, 08:04 PM heaventravel.com |
