I know someone who is signing up with megahostingserver.com. They are purchasing the $900 one time pay for a LIFETIME HOST plan thing :rolleyes:. Pretty much it's unlimited everything, bandwidth and diskspace. What I'm trying to prove to him is that you can't get a lifetime supply of webhosting and you can't get unlimited diskspace/bandwith. Is there anyone else who supports me in that you shouldn't sign up for something so rediculous? Or is MegaHostingServer.Com actually good??:confused: I mean, if you look at the title of the webpage, it says "Unlimited site server web space hosting Reseller Windows 2000 UNIX Linux JSP SQL Cold Fusion Datatransfer SSL" blah blah blah. It almost seems unprofessional. And I've never seen an UNLIMITED Hard Drive ever so how do you get unlimited space.:rolleyes:</crap>

I hope that person didn't buy that plan by now, they would be at a great loss since the site is gone. haha.

the hosting company must be happy though :)

they seem to have a lot of hostees but the FAQ and help desk seems to not exist

thanks for your support. I'll refer him to this thread. I just don't think that getting a lifetime supply of webhosting, and especially one of those UNLIMITED plans is a good idea. First of all, we all know about those unlimited hosts. Host Once .com for example. You really have to be a web n00b to want to go with one of these hosts. But, maybe it is a good idea and it might work out. IDK... The person who is signing up at this site is going into the webdesign business. So why do you need UNLIMITED SPACE. I'm doing the same thing he is and I have 250mb and I'm set. His site is www.designeddynamic.com .

If you keep getting ***** when you try to type in the webhost name, then it means the URL has been blocked on WHT. When something is blocked here, it is usually for a very good reason (or in some cases, many good reasons).

Everyone eles has already commented on how ridiculous the company seems, so I won't trouble myself with it :D
