View Full Version : Yay - I cancelled 2checkout today!

Finally, the day has come where 2checkout has paid out what they owe me, and I had the pleasure of requesting them to cancel my account!

I'm curious if they are stupid enough to actually request a reason why....hehehe! And I noticed that users are still mentioning that their complaint posts are being deleted from the 2checkout forums. What a joke!

So far, Wells Fargo / Authorize.Net has been a much more reliable / less expensive solution.

Good luck to everyone!

How did you integrate them with your sign-up form, and how many customers did you move to them from 2checkout?

As long as you adjust your budget and payment schedule to coordinate with wells fargo, they are a great company to conduct business with. It took a while to get used to the nearly instant availability of funds to having to wait a few days, but with the great people who you talk to on the phone and their services it is well worth it.

We had to make a few changes to accomidate the slightly delayed payments but it isn't a problem if you have a solid business plan and you aren't running your business on a day-by-day basis relying on cashflow ;)

does wellsfargo perform a credit history check before they issue a new merchant account? :)

Yes. Not sure how good of credit you need to have to be accepted though. Also, you will need to fax a bunch of documents to them, as well as over the phone they will ask you some questions to verify you are who you say you are, etc. The whole process can take a few days to about a week to complete. But it is well worth it :)

We already love it much more compared to our 3rd party accounts we had used. Never realized what a headache those were :agree:

I'm here..just a bit busy setting up the new site. Things are going well - I never did recurring billing throught 2checkout so that wasn't a problem. I just changed my order page to the new Authorize.Net system and it works great so far.

I even setup my scripts to email me if a card is declined or if a transaction error comes up so I can trace potential ordering problems. With 2checkout - they hid from you the number of lost orders their system caused.

As far as a credit check - yes, they do one. However, I was not required to fax or answer anything by phone to get my account up. I signed up on a Friday afternoon, and was ready to process the next Tuesday morning.

Hope the info helps!

They finally got around to my cancellation request support ticket and cancelled my account. Only 4 days!!!! Hehehe...I can't image how long people are waiting with more complex issues.

At least they didn't bother asking *why* I cancelled, they just abruptly stated "cancelled". I guess they can't waste time with so many accounts to shut down. :stickout:
