View Full Version : ENOM sucks
RajanUrs 12-03-2002, 05:44 AM That's $11.98 per domain name for Affiliates ?
Domain Name registration 29.95 (with 10 pages free,...) ?
In my country India, it is 8 US$ per domain/year for registration with 2 MB free hosting and with 10 email accounts, plus more extras. For bulk resellers its even more cheaper.
Where is the justification in the pricing ?
p1net 12-03-2002, 08:15 AM You need to have an Enom reseller account to get good rates. I think it's good that enom don't compete with you directly. :)
Chris Marks 12-03-2002, 11:49 AM Besides that, there are still hundreds of people paying $35 a year to Verisign, because they don't know there are lower prices out there. I'm certain eNom has the same sort of clients as well. (and is making good money)
mrzippy 12-04-2002, 02:00 PM How nice to see someone come out and totally slam a company simply because they are too ignorant to read a few posts in these forums about that company.
Since you're from India, I will give you some help for how to better phrase your posts in the future.
Instead of saying "XXX sucks!".. you could have posted something like, "Please explain why eNom has such high rates."
Cheers.
Akash 12-04-2002, 02:21 PM it should be noted that enom does not target end users like netsol or register.com does, enom specifically wants the $7K from resellers...

I hate to be discriminated on the basis of my nationality or my origin. That seems to the case with most people in the West though the Asians especially the Indians are the back bone of the IT industry providing ideal outsource location.
So I figured that if I speak your kind of language its better understood. Due apologies if it hurt you....

MrZippy WASN'T discriminating against you on the basis of your nationality or origin! He was pointing out that you made yourself look like an idiot by slamming eNom before you fully understood their offering...
He merely mentiond your 'origin' to justify his giving you some friendly advice on how to address your messages in future...
Oh, and by the way - why not pay some closer attention to your own signature, pal...

Actually, I was merely responding to the fact that YOU were the one who mentioned you were from a non-english native speaking country. There are many people on these forums who are struggling with English, so I simply thought you may appreciate some help.

Nice. I'm sure you will make lots of friends around here.
RajanUrs 12-04-2002, 03:36 PM Well whatever........I was refering to the price....and its justification. Maybe I didnt see the price plans properly. I got turned off too soon seeing 29.95 (with 10 free pages) so my immediate conclusion was that Enom was trying to make a sucker out of me (or wanted to know how the high price was justified)
:stickout:

No worries. I notice you edited your original post to make it a little more "nicer". If you had stated your "question" like this to begin with, it would have been better.
Anyway... the reason eNom has such high retail pricing is because it keeps them out of direct competition with their resellers. It's very good.
As a reseller, you can have pricing from $6.95.
Cheers!
creativ 12-04-2002, 04:19 PM MrZippy - you're too darned patient!
I'll bet your customer support rocks! ;)

Well, I'm getting better.. I've got my fair share of nasty posts. But over the years I've learned (trying to learn) that getting upset is just not beneficial to anyone.

That's what keeps our customer's happy! There isn't a whole lot of differences in this industry, but good customer support and service are something that every customer wants!
Whoops. Did I let the secret out? ;)
