I just noticed that the keyword alerts do not catch when someone edits their post... They work perfectly, otherwise.

Any chance of getting them to also check post edits?

Yeap! I can confirm this. When you initially reply to a thread or open a new thread it works fine, but when you say edit it...it doesnt. I guess it doesnt "check" against the database for each edit huh?

That's a lot more queries on the already slow WHT servers guys, come on now lol

We're going down for 20-30 minutes in about 3 1/2 hours to fix a replication issue. Not sure if that'll sort out your issue, but you can let us know tomorrow. :)

It probably won't fix it, because the system checks and alerts people only when a new post is made. Shouldn't be very difficult to make it check the post edits, however it will require editing another vBulletin file, and add some more load to the servers.

I wasn't even aware it was doing that. Definitely want our alerts though when someone edits a post which mentions our keywords.

Corporate members are paying quite a bit already and that keywords feature is one of the better reasons.

So I'm sure a little extra load wont affect anything as I was talking to Dan yesterday and he brought up a good point....how often does one edit posts anyway? Not a lot...so there shouldn't be a lot of load.

Yea...well... when you are paying for corporate membership...lets see if you have the same opinion ;).

Edit: I just used one of my keywords and it did NOT send an alert. So the maintenance didn't fix anything.
