Hi All,

I thought I would let you know I have successfully managed to setup CPANEL accross a fully redundant load balanced dedicated server solution.

If anyone needs any help getting this setup just let me know, I seem to of turned into a cpanel genius lately lol

I run the following setup
2x Servers
2x NAS
2x Switches
2x Firewalls
2x Load Balancers
etc.

Why not post a tutorial on how you achieved it? (o:

I agree. This would be a great tutorial.

this might end up as a white paper or an ebook lol, I will attempt to write it when I get a few hours, hopefully this weekend.

There are providers that have implemented cPanel load balancing. I'm curious as to how you approached it. My question is can you seamlessly add another headless cPanel node?

Yes defiantly you should be able to another Cpanel nod to your Cluster, but again its depend what way the cluster you did configure and the structure you applied on it. Some more information will can bring light on this.

All servers have cpanel / whm installed on them but only ever 1 server serves cpanel to the end user, the other machines in my cluster then just replicate the httpd.conf files, replace ip's, add user's, set perms etc. via cron job

It takes around 10 mins to setup a new server / add a server to my cluster once cpanel is installed.

I've been a part of a similar implementation in the past. The implementations work, the problem is every single time there's a cPanel update it becomes a complete pita. In the end, it simply wasn't worth the trouble.
