Hi,
I have some confusion about DNS setting.
I had a a virtual server with a hosting company and several virtual hosts. The server name was xxxxxx.xxx
which is the same name of my own virtual site. I leased then a cobalt raq4 from a company zzzzz.zzz
and they set their own DNS for the network temporarily, and gave me a temporary name for the server under one of my IPs.
I set the virtual hosts in the server and set my two DNS with Networksolutions.com as follows:
wwwwwww.www IP1
yyyyyyyyyy.yyy IP2
Now can anybody tell me what is the next step? How can I transfer my virtual sites from the old hosting company to my server? And are the steps respectively?
I feel somehow confused about setting DNS parameters in the server control panel - services and setting DNS in control panel - network.
Also can anybody tell me how to choose the default gateway IP?
Please help, I feel stuck in the middle way.
Thanks.

Your host will tell what to use for your default gateway ip.

First make sure that you setup each individual domain in the RaQ server, then move all the contents from each domain from the original server to the RaQ, and then contact the name registrars for each one of the domain names and ask them to change the DNS to your Cobalt RaQ DNS.

I am getting ready to do the same thing next month.

The default gateway for the RaQ is the router to which it is attached. You need to ask your host about that.
