I am trying to transfer a domain name of mine from GoDaddy.com to my Enom reseller account, but I never receive an acknowledgment email. Has anyone else tried this? What can I do?
also... I have one person using name servers of the domain, will this person's web site be affected if I transfer my domain?
eg. at godaddy.com, I registered 2 name servers, will they stay registered if I ever get the domain transfered?

Name Servers should not change when you transfer a domain unless you specifically ask them to be changed.
However the old name servers may stop pointing towards valid information soon after the transfer - you old hosts will probably stop serving DNS information within about 48hrs.
Can't answer the specifc question about the hosts/holding companies you mentioned as I've never used them.
However I recently transferred two .net domains from one holding company to another and it took an age for them to go through, something about the registras being different?
Previous transfers have happened in about 24/48hrs and these took seven days.

Thanks. lol, I just got the email... I didn't get it the last time I tried to transfer (a week ago) maybe I just missed that one. Yes, I know the domain's name server's will stay the same during the transfer, but...
I registered 2 name server, please note the difference.
will these domain server's stay registered?
eg.
I registered these at GoDaddy.com
ns1.TheDomainImTransfering.com
ns2.TheDomainImTransfering.com
Will they stay registered?

Nameservers cannot change during the TRANSFER transaction at the registry. There is no place to specify new nameservers in the protocol.
Nameserver entries created at the registry have to be managed using the registrar of record. If the domain is registered with GoDaddy, then you have to use GoDaddy to create or change these at the registry. When you transfer to another registrar, you will have to use that new registrar to change any information about your nameservers at the registry. This information is AT THE REGISTRY, not at your registrar, and will not change because you change registrars.

Thanks!
They would not let me transfer the domain because it was registered within the past 40 days. (A Godaddy.com Policy)
But, since there will be no change in this information during the transfer, I will be able to wait and do it later. In the mean time I will allow others to use these nameservers.

Transferring a domain away from an initial registration requires a 60 day delay based on a registry policy, so GoDaddy is only following the registry rules here.
