So many hosts offering reseller packages, so hard to decide.
What I need is this:
FAST servers. I have a image uploading site, as well as a new project that will require speed. I think my potential clients would like a fast server too, no one wants to wait 30 seconds for a page to load.
NO OVERSELLING. Thats right, I am an honest person and can't comprehend selling more space than what I actually have, I would like a host to do the same simply because I don't want overloaded servers which leads to slow servers.
Customer support. Preferably something that will be extended to my clients, I can handle all basic support aspects but not the more technical stuff. Great/fast user end support would be amazing. I'm willing to pay more for great support.
Did I mention UPTIME? And I mean it, sure there are plenty of hosts that offer 99.9% uptime, but I really mean uptime. I need a proven track record of great uptime, and not just 99.9% over the course of the last 15 months that host has been around.
Billing software, I need the ability to easily receive payments from clients, with the option of doing discounts, referrals, etc. I plan on offering a referral program where existing clients can earn credits for hosting if the person they refer becomes a paying client.
Green hosting isn't a must, but would be a bonus. And when I say green, I don't mean hostgator's version of "green" of simply purchasing green energy credits. I mean powered by the wind and sun. This isn't a must, but as a person who enjoys sustainable living, it would be nice to have a host do the same.
Toss up some suggestions, I have book marked very many hosts and can't really narrow it down, but hopefully this thread will allow me to narrow it down to 3-5 hosts before I can choose which one I want to do business with.
EDIT: Also, I think it would be wise for me to be able to offer adult hosting, simply because of my domain name (hostgasm). The domain was chosen because I want to be able to provide an excellent service to my clients, and live up to the hype of, "The best you've ever had". I am NOT catering to the adult market, however the option of being able to host these sites would be an added bonus.
