gatty 12-02-2002, 09:58 AM i would be very interested, but the setup fee's are very high considering many providers now days provide free setup ;)
diederik 12-02-2002, 10:19 AM Setup fee's are very reasonable imho
gatty 12-02-2002, 10:33 AM not when you think about how many other places do it for free...
Darth 12-02-2002, 10:38 AM Some people do have to make money ya know :stickout:
gatty 12-02-2002, 10:40 AM but would it be possible to pay a few extra dollars per month, and g ona contract, then they would get there money...
E-Insites 12-02-2002, 02:07 PM Hello,
We did consider waiving the setup fee, but to be honest, we are in this business to make money, and it makes it really difficult to turn a profit without a setup fee.
We may consider it again if we found a cheaper hardware provider.
Regards,
diederik 12-02-2002, 04:48 PM Exactly. Not everybody has to follow rackshack marketing techniques to sell servers. Good luck with your offers !
E-Insites 12-02-2002, 04:57 PM Thanks diederik.
As far as hiring goes Matt, we do not forsee needing any future server admins for a while.
Regards,
gatty 12-02-2002, 07:01 PM thats understandable, hardware does cost money  lol
mushrew 12-03-2002, 02:26 AM Where are the servers located and do you have any non-celeron offerings?
E-Insites 12-03-2002, 02:46 AM We operate out of our own secure location in Downtown Spokane, WA. We share space in a building with a local ISP.
When you go to http://www.cyberworldhost.com/refer.asp?webhostingtalk It allows you to configure rackmount servers as needed. The servers offered here are pre-built towers that we get a deal on. You can upgrade the RAM to 1GB for a one time $50 fee and you can upgrade the CPU to a P4 1.7GHZ for a one time $100 set-up fee.
Regards,
jolly 12-03-2002, 06:21 PM what does "Intel Celeron(P4 Based) 1.7GHZ ".
Motherboard can support PIV processors?
E-Insites 12-03-2002, 06:50 PM Hi jolly,
It means the Celeron CPUs are based on the same architechture as P4 CPUs, and yes, the motherboards will support both Celerons and P4s
Regards,
oonth 12-03-2002, 06:56 PM Agree, you guys have great plans. But any chances of waving the setup fees or lowering it? For us, setup comes to $500.
E-Insites 12-03-2002, 06:59 PM Hi zaid2001,
What server config are you trying to get? Let me know and I will see what is the best set-up fee I can give you.

Let me guess...Australia?
I know how you feel :bawling:
TheTech 12-04-2002, 07:55 AM If the servers are already preconfigured, etc.. why charge such a set up fee?
E-Insites 12-04-2002, 05:08 PM Hi TheTech,
For two reasons, they still cost us money, and what we mean by preconfigured, is we have a deal with a vendor that makes them at those exact specifications for us at a special price.
Regards,
hostoo 12-05-2002, 05:13 PM Do you have cPanel?
Cpanel monthly fee?
hostoo 12-05-2002, 05:30 PM cPanel $75.00 Monthly Fee
I found it, unfortunately that just too high a price when others have it now for $19.00, too bad, otherwise I liked your servers.
E-Insites 12-05-2002, 10:06 PM Hi hostoo,
We are actually looking into ways to be able to get Cpanel Licenses for less. Right now that is the price we get from the distributor we use, but we are looking into other ways of doing Licenses.
Regards,
hostoo 12-05-2002, 10:21 PM Hi,
Yes, I understand, there have been some dramatic price decreases recently for cpanel coming out of a few companies, which makes their servers very attractive. I'd be looking into how they do it, may be quantity? Sure is a huge change from a year ago when you could not touch a cpanel server under $100.00 a month anywhere. If you find a deal, let me know, the network your on is fast, I get 77ms Avg. from my location on West coast.
richy 12-05-2002, 10:48 PM great deal, setups seem more then acceptable.
oh and you mention toll free, do you have a normal number thats treated with the same response time, just i cant phone toll frees from the uk, always gives me nasty error messages.
plus why the hard limit of 500 gb? plus dual p3 tualatins is this possible? or xeons. just looking for a very steady cpanel server. ps any idea when you will have a new cpanel price? id rather wait and pay under 30 bucks:) im in no rush for a while.
E-Insites 12-05-2002, 10:48 PM We found a way to offer Cpanel at $40/mo extra. Which is still more than the $19 you are getting elsewhere, but at least we are on the right track now.
EDIT: We are looking into becoming a Partner NOC for Cpanel and the lowest price we can get it at is $25/mo. So if we become a Partner NOC, we will be able to offer Cpanel for between $25 - $60/mo
Regards,
pattox 12-06-2002, 12:10 PM Setup fees are not reasonable when you consider you do not get a real cp,just a free one.
Just my 2 cents.
E-Insites 12-06-2002, 07:40 PM Hello richy,
We do have a normal number that is answered 24 X 7 as well for dedicated server support. All support numbers are given upon signup.
We put the 500GB hard limit, because most servers see performance problems after around 300GB.
We can do dual P3 and Xeon Servers, but when we had them most people just skipped by them. We are looking into adding them back to the form.
As far as Cpanel goes, we hope to know shortly. It is a great advantage to be able to offer Cpanel at low prices.
patox,
We offer a lot more services with our servers than most other companies do, and so we see our set-up fee as being really reasonable. As mentioned before we have to make money in order to stay in this business, and we have seen many a company come and go with offers that put them out of business. There are a few successes like Rackshack, but there are sure a lot more failed ones.
Regards,
Alexuk 12-09-2002, 12:17 PM I need a dedicated server like these you show here but the setup fee put me off, $299?? :bawling:
E-Insites 12-09-2002, 08:16 PM Hello Alexuk,
We can spread the set-up fee out over two months, or we can raise the monthly fee and lower the set-up fee.
