Layerblue 12-02-2002, 05:19 AM If you're just looking to register one for yourself, my reccomendation would be GoDaddy.. They sell domain names cheap (retail) and their interface is pretty easy to deal with. If you're looking for a 'reseller' type service, it seems that eNom has some of the best rates out there if you can find someone with a $6.95 reseller account for sale. People are charging around $100 for one of these reseller accounts, though.. greggish 12-02-2002, 07:58 AM NameCheap.com for only $8.88. More features (including email forwarding free) plus a better domain management interface than many other registrars. blackeyed 12-02-2002, 08:07 AM thanks anyways guys. I need it for my own use only but if anybody else has cheaper than 8.88 dollars then your reply will be appreciated. :: paVel :: 12-02-2002, 08:40 AM $8.75 - http://www.cheap-domainregistration.com $7.95 - http://www.planetdomain.com/1cheapdomains ;) :: paVel :: 12-02-2002, 08:43 AM Just found more... 100 Domains Pack $6.95 each 50 Domains Pack $7.15 each 30 Domains Pack $7.25 each 20 Domains Pack $7.49 each 15 Domains Pack $7.79 each 10 Domains Pack $7.99 each 5 Domains Pack $8.15 each http://controloye.com/domain.php nameslave 12-02-2002, 09:15 AM >ajarvey: If you're just looking to register one for yourself >blackeyed> I need it for my own use only I have said it AGAIN and again: if you are only registering a couple of names for yourself, WHY bother with a dollar or two. When you buy an orange for 25 cents from Farm A, it doesn't mean that it's a better deal than that of Farm B which sells an orange for 50 cents. Their oranges are of DIFFERENT grades and tastes! Registering a domain name comes with a whole range of support and services that varies between registrars (and even resellers). I honestly don't believe that a dollar or two per year matters that much to anybody who can afford the time and effort to build a website (and therefore find a domain name for it). Going with Verisign/NetSol makes you look bad not because you're a fool paying $35 a year but because their service sucks. However, registering your name with a $6.01 registrar makes you no smarter. |
