Get all your servers and computers protected by the best in test Kaspersky antivirus solution. We take care of everything and contact you in case of issues requiring intervention.

We are vendor independant, so if some day someone is better than Kaspersky, you will get the new best in test solution with your existing license. So no more changing of vendors and throwing away valid licenses in the process.

Prices are as low as $2.50 monthly per workstation or $5 monthly per server - for the TOP RATED antivirus solution. Can't beat those prices, right?

Check out http://www.hostedantivirus.com (http://www.hostedantivirus.com)for more info and for ordering.

How do you manage to change antivirus vendor on the fly? how does the licenses apply? (who is the owner of license, and what type of license you are using?)

There is not much info on your "website".

Thanks,
G.

Hi G,

Changing antivirus vendor on the fly is done via the agent you install on each machine. It is the same agent that allows us to modify policies and report if anything unusual is going on. Same agent applies the license.

Installing the agent is all you as a customer have to do after signing up. The server automatically downloads, installs, configures and updates the application. Installation instructions are provided in the welcome email, but feel free to see http://www.hostedantivirus.com/kav_inst.pdf for the detailed step-by-step instructions.

The license is a corporate license issued to hostedantivirus.com. From that perspective, I am a value added reseller.

As i see on Kaspersky website, the agent may be installed on corporate workstations which your customers arent. How does it apply to Kaspersky eula? Also, How do you manage to use other than kasperky vendor using only kaspersky agent? or if someone choose other vendor then agent is uninstalled and installed another one?

G.

Hi G,

It's getting close to public scrutiny here... I'd much rather be answering feedback about our concept of hosted antivirus and such... Anyway, here goes:

I'm not bound by the standard EULA as I could otherwise of course not do this. I have an agreement with Kaspersky covering the hosted setup.

If/When the antivirus vendor needs to be changed, the current agent is capable of downloading and executing a new agent, which will handle the new vendors application. The agent is also capable of uninstalling the application and even its own agent.

I might also add that the concept applies only to end users who don't know anything about Internet Security, but just wants to be sure they are adequately protected at all times - and small businesses who doesn't want an antivirus server and/or pay high consultant fees to install and maintain their own server.

If you don't have a problem "being on your own" as either end user or small business, it is cheaper for you to purchase the licenses directly from Kaspersky.
