View Full Version : Webmin Help Needed :)

When getting a 2TB/month server from UnitedColo I chose Webmin as the administration software as apposed to Ensim. I made this decision based on what I saw at webmin.com and the fact that Ensim would only come with a 5 domain license. (However this wasn't a real problem as I was only going to host one domain to serve images & large files - but I was looking out for the future.)

My real question comes to anyone experienced in using Webmin. I must admit, the system seems much more powerful when compared with the likes of Plesk and Ensim, yet with that it appears more confusing.

Simply put; how should I fully setup a domain on the system? I'm aiming for it to work in the same way adding a domain to Plesk or Ensim would (give or take!) - I'd like to have FTP for the site, DNS setup, and be able to setup e-mail too.

I have had a little play with it, but after a few cross-dependencies (such as users, groups, permissions, etc) and other configuration options I wasn't too confident in configuring, I felt I better run it past more experienced users first ;)

Thanks for any help!

You should ask to get ensim, or a managed server

But I think the webpages URL for isp4you is:
http://nodomainname.de
and it`s jumping to: http://isp4you.com

It`s version 0.9.0 out.

Cheers
